northern edge of the area reaching Beltzville State Park and the southern
edge reaching Peace Valley Park in Bucks County. Updates are typically done

NOW FOR THE BIRDS!
Sightings from the HANOVERVILLE ROAD RETENTION PONDS, Northampton County
included:
LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER - 1 from 7/24 to at least 8/1 (retention pond at the
corner of Hanoverville Road and Harriet Lane). This bird represents the
first record for Northampton County!
Also Lesser Yellowlegs, and Pectoral, Solitary, and Least Sandpiper.
Sightings from the LEHIGH GAP NATURE CENTER, Carbon County included:
BLUE GROSBEAKS - 3 on 7/29 (pair feeding young).
Sightings from SALISBURY TOWNSHIP, Lehigh County included:

Great Egret - 1 on 7/27.
