My reporting area includes all of Lehigh and Northampton Counties with the
northern edge of the area reaching Beltzville State Park and the southern
edge reaching Peace Valley Park in Bucks County. Updates are typically done
every Thursday, more often when necessary.

This is Dave DeReamus, for the Eastern PA Birdline, sponsored by the Lehigh
Valley Audubon Society, recorded on February 26th at 2:00 AM.
There will be a field trip to the New Jersey Shore on February 27th. Meet
at the Tilghman Square parking lot, near the Red Robin restaurant, just west
of Route 309 at 8:00 AM. Trip leader will be Mark Boyd.

NOW FOR THE BIRDS!
Sightings from the CHERRY VALLEY N.W.R., Monroe County included:
Killdeer - 1 on 2/24.
Also American Wigeon, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Swamp Sparrow.
Sightings from WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP, Northampton County included:
CLAY COLORED SPARROW - 1 to at least 2/20.
Also Field, Chipping, and Savannah Sparrow.
Sightings from the SEEMSVILLE area, Northampton County included:
SNOW BUNTINGS - 1 flock on 2/21 (along Seemsville Road).
Sightings from HEIDELBERG TOWNSHIP, Lehigh County included:
SNOW BUNTINGS - 10 on 2/25 (along Handwerk Road).
Also Northern Harrier and Eastern Meadowlark (along Bachman Drive).
Sightings from the ALLENTOWN area, Lehigh County included:
Peregrine Falcon - 1 on 2/21 (at the 8th Street Bridge).
At the Allentown Waste Water Treatment Plant:
Lesser Black-backed Gulls - 58 back on 2/19.
Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County included:
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE - 2 to at least 2/20
Lesser Black-backed Gulls - 23 back on 2/20.
Also Hooded Merganser, Bald Eagle, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Hermit Thrush, and
Fox, Field, and Swamp Sparrow.
