Transcript-

ALLEGHENY COUNTY:

At The Point in Pittsburgh on 2/22, a few hundred gulls were observed 
including 1 first-cycle THAYER'S GULL, 1 adult GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULL, 
25+ HERRING GULLS (DW).

On 2/27 along the Allegheny River between Twelve and Fourteen Mile 
Islands, sightings included 1 hen COMMON GOLDENEYE (AH). On 2/28 along the 
Allegheny River, 1 drake COMMON GOLDENEYE, 4 hen COMMON GOLDENEYS (AH).

On the Ohio River on 2/27, 2 adult GREAT BLACK-BACKED GULLS at Dashield's 
Dam; and 1 hen SURF SCOTER, 19 BUFFLEHEADS, 7 COMMON GOLDENEYES, and 
others at Emsworth Dam and Kilbuck boat access (MVas). 2 GREAT BLACK-
BACKED GULLS were seen again at Dashield's Dam on 3/1 (SK).


ARMSTRONG COUNTY:

Along the Allegheny River at Kittanning on 2/27, sightings included 1 
COMMON LOON; at Rosston, 1 BALD EAGLE (MH with Roger Higbee).

On 3/1 in Manorville, 1 BALD EAGLE, 9 BUFFLEHEADS, 1 COMMON LOON, and 
others (MVan).


BEAVER COUNTY:

In Rochester on ~2/22, 2 PEREGRINE FALCONS (SB). On 2/26 at the mouth of 
the Beaver River, 1 WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, 1 drake REDHEAD, and others 
(MVas); on 3/1 at Riverfront Park in Rochester, 1 WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, 1 
GREATER SCAUP (SK).

On 2/24 at Siegel Marsh, 1 NORTHERN SHRIKE (JM).

On 2/25 at Big Rock Park in New Brighton, sightings included 1 hen 
BUFFLEHEAD (ER).


CRAWFORD COUNTY:

Daily from 2/22 through 3/1 in Springboro, 1 SNOWY OWL continued its 
presence (CN).

On 2/28 in Pymatuning, sightings included 19 COMMON GOLDENEYES, 2 GREATER 
SCAUP, 3 REDHEADS, 6 BALD EAGLES, 1 NORTHERN HARRIER, 10 HORNED LARKS 
(MVas).


ERIE COUNTY:

On 2/23 and 2/25 at Presque Isle State Park, 1 HARLEQUIN DUCK continued 
its presence near the channel, with several hundred COMMON GOLDENEYES, and 
also on 2/23, 1+ WHITE-WINGED SCOTER, 2 drake AMERICAN WIGEON, 1 drake 
NORTHERN SHOVELER (JM).

In Erie on 2/28, 1 first-cycle ICELAND GULL (JM).


LAWRENCE COUNTY:

In the Plain Grove area on 2/28, HORNED LARKS, SNOW BUNTINGS, 1 BALD EAGLE 
(MVas).


MERCER COUNTY:

In Sharon on 2/28, 2 flyover BALD EAGLES; near Sharon on 3/1, 4 circling 
BALD EAGLES, ~2,500 GULLS (SS).


WASHINGTON COUNTY:

On 2/22 at the Washington Cemetery, 2 MERLINS, pair of NORTHERN PINTAILS, 
1 AMERICAN BLACK DUCK (reported to MVas by Chris Knoll).

At the Hahn Road AMD Pond on 3/1, 1 RUDDY DUCK, 1 drake REDHEAD, and 
others (MVas).
